Osten Limited is seeking a qualified Financial Bookkeeper with at least 3 years of experience managing company financial records.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, handling invoicing, receipts, tax filings, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. Experience in the oil and gas sector and proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoicing and Receipts: Manage client invoicing, track payments, and issue receipts.
  • Accounting Transactions: Handle all accounting transactions.
  • Budget Management: Collate and manage the company’s budget.
  • Bank Records: Oversee company bank records and transactions.
  • Tax Filing: Handle all tax filings, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax submissions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Vendor Payments: Manage vendor payments and other payables
  • Invoice Reconciliation: Reconcile customer invoices and vendor accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Liaise with the finance consultant to perform reconciliations, ensuring financial statements are accurate and up to date.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws and financial regulations while maintaining accurate financial records.

Education and Work Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial bookkeeping.

Corporate Sustainability:

Previous experience in the oil and gas sector is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and tax regulations.
  • Experience in tax filing, invoice reconciliation, and accounting entries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
