Osten Limited, a leader in Total Quality Assurance and Laboratory Management Services, is seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to support instrumentation operations across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting laboratory and process instruments, with strong expertise in Agilent Gas Chromatography systems. The role also includes training of personnel and supervising instrumentation-related projects both locally and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc./B.Eng. in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on instrumentation experience within a petroleum, chemical, or analytical laboratory environment.
  • Proven expertise with Agilent Gas Chromatography systems, including hardware and software integration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel when required.
  • Good communication and training abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments, especially Agilent Gas Chromatographs (GCs).

  • Install, configure, and validate new instruments.

  • Provide technical training and mentorship to laboratory staff.

  • Supervise laboratory instrumentation projects, upgrades, and integrations.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.

  • Support instrument qualification, method setup, and performance verification.

  • Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Participate in international assignments when required.
