Osten Limited is looking for a skilled Production Chemist to join our team, focusing on optimizing client production processes and ensuring the quality of their products and processes. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality assurance and sustainable solutions.
The Production Chemist, who also serves as the Quality Manager, is responsible for supervising production chemistry testing activities, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the laboratory maintains technical accuracy, quality control, and efficient operations in petroleum testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day PC laboratory operations related to chemical treatment and production chemistry analysis.
  • Carryout bench analysis and field trials of production and commodity chemicals.
  • Supervise analytical testing of production fluids and chemical samples.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance of PC laboratory instruments.
  • Develop and maintain quality control/assurance protocols and internal audits.
  • Review and approve analytical data and laboratory reports.
  • Support client reporting, method validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor laboratory staff on SOPs, quality systems, and safety standards

Education and Work Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of PC laboratory experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or quality-focused role.

Requirement

  • Proven experience as a production chemist, with a strong understanding of production chemical processes, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in oil and gas assays, production chemical analysis, gas treatment, and flow assurance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate findings clearly across departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of petroleum and environmental chemical analysis.
  • Strong documentation, audit, and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
